GTA 6 has no PC release date. Rockstar has announced it only for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19, 2026. GamesBeat reported in October 2026 that a PC version is planned for the first quarter of 2027; Rockstar has not confirmed it.

PC players are the biggest group still waiting on news. Here is what is confirmed, what is reported, and what history suggests.
Is GTA 6 coming out on PC on November 19?
No. Rockstar’s official page, the GTA 6 release date announcement and every store listing name only PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. There is no PC pre-order anywhere.
GTA 6 PC release date: what has been reported
In mid-October 2026, GamesBeat reported that Rockstar plans to release GTA 6 on PC in the first quarter of 2027, citing four industry sources familiar with the studio’s plans. Rockstar did not respond to its request for comment, and Take-Two has said nothing about a PC version.
- Window reported: January to March 2027.
- Status: reported, not confirmed.
- Next chance of news: Take-Two’s results on November 9, 2026, though it rarely names unannounced versions.
How long Rockstar usually makes PC players wait
| Game | Console launch | PC launch | Gap |
|---|---|---|---|
| GTA 4 | April 2008 | December 2008 | 7 months |
| GTA 5 | September 2013 | April 2015 | 19 months |
| Red Dead Redemption 2 | October 2018 | November 2019 | 12 months |
A first-quarter 2027 release would be Rockstar’s shortest gap in years, which is one reason to treat the report carefully until it is confirmed.
Will GTA 6 be on Steam?
No GTA 6 store page exists on Steam or the Epic Games Store. When Rockstar does announce a PC version, expect the usual three stores: Steam, Epic and the Rockstar Games Launcher. That is a pattern, not an announcement.
GTA 6 PC requirements
Rockstar has not published minimum or recommended specs. Any “official GTA 6 PC requirements” list is invented. The game’s file size on consoles is reported at about 210 GB, which hints at the storage a PC version will need. See GTA 6 file size.
Playing GTA 6 without a console
Until a PC version exists, the only ways to play on November 19 are a PS5 or an Xbox Series X|S. Cloud streaming is not a way round it: on October 7, 2026 Xbox’s Matthew Ball said GTA 6 “will not be streaming exclusively or to PC”, after The Verge had reported a streaming deal.
