GTA 6 PC release planned for Q1 2027, GamesBeat reports
GamesBeat reported on October 13, 2026, citing four unnamed industry sources, that Rockstar plans to release GTA 6 on PC in the first quarter of 2027. Rockstar did not comment, and no PC version has been announced. At launch on November 19, 2026, the game is confirmed only for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
GTA 6 launches on consoles only, and Rockstar has said nothing about a PC version. On October 13, 2026, a report put a window on one.
GTA 6 PC release date: what GamesBeat reported
- Outlet: GamesBeat.
- Sources: four unnamed industry sources.
- Window: the first quarter of 2027, January to March.
- Rockstar: did not comment.
- Official status: no PC version has been announced.
Vice and VideoCardz carried the report. Until Rockstar or Take-Two says otherwise, Q1 2027 is a report, not a date.
Can you play GTA 6 on PC at launch?
No. Rockstar has confirmed GTA 6 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19, 2026, and for no other platform.
Cloud streaming will not fill the gap either. On October 7, Xbox Chief Strategy Officer Matthew Ball said the game “will not be streaming exclusively or to PC”, after a report suggested otherwise. The details are in Xbox denies GTA 6 exclusive streaming.
Whether the game will be on Xbox Cloud Gaming at all for console owners is still unclear.
The GamesBeat report landed the same day Take-Two set its next earnings date, November 9. That call is the next official checkpoint; see our report on the Take-Two earnings date.
GTA 6 PC downloads are scams
There is no PC version on any official store. Any site offering a GTA 6 PC download, beta or early access is a scam, whatever it claims.
When Rockstar announces a PC version, the date, price and specs will go on GTA 6 PC. Every confirmed system is listed on GTA 6 platforms, and the console launch is on GTA 6 release date.
