GTA 6 file size on PS5 reported at about 210 GB
GTA 6 is about 210 GB on PS5, according to the PlayStation Game Size account, which read the figure from PlayStation Store data on October 27, 2026. It is unclear whether that is the download or the installed size, and Rockstar has not published an official file size.
The first size figure for GTA 6 has come from store data rather than from Rockstar. It points to a large download for every PS5 player, with launch on November 19, 2026.
GTA 6 PS5 file size: what the 210 GB figure is
- Figure: about 210 GB for the PS5 version.
- Source: the PlayStation Game Size account, which reads PlayStation Store data. GamesRadar+ and TweakTown reported it.
- Unknown: whether 210 GB is the download or the space the game takes once installed.
- Official: Rockstar has not published a size, so treat the number as reported.
GTA 6 Xbox file size
No Xbox Series X|S figure has surfaced as of November 3, 2026, and Rockstar has not published one. Until it does, the PS5 number is the only one on record.
Why the GTA 6 file size matters at launch
Every copy of GTA 6 is a download. Physical copies contain only a download code, with no disc, and there is no boxed Ultimate Edition. The size applies to every buyer, boxed or digital.
- Preload: opens November 12, 2026. Boxed code-in-box copies are available from that day to support it.
- Launch: November 19, 2026, on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
- Firmware: on November 2 the same account reported a new minimum PS5 system software, 14.22. See GTA 6 PS5 firmware 14.22.
If the figure holds, clearing space before preload day is the simple way to be ready on launch night.
Storage advice and any official number will go on the GTA 6 file size guide. Console details are on GTA 6 on PS5 and GTA 6 on Xbox.
