GTA 6 release date: November 19, 2026

GTA 6 has a fixed date and Rockstar has stood by it for a full year. The countdown on our home page runs to midnight on November 19 in your own time zone.

GTA 6 release date at a glance

When does GTA 6 come out on PS5 and Xbox?

Both consoles get the game on the same day, November 19, 2026. Rockstar’s own page lists PlayStation 5 as the platform it “plays best on”, and the PlayStation Store marks the game as PS5 Pro Enhanced.

Xbox Series S owners get the same date. Rockstar has not published a separate performance target for Series S. More on each console:

How the GTA 6 release date was set

The date has moved twice since Rockstar first named a window. Each move was announced by Rockstar itself, not leaked.

1. December 2023: the first trailer gave a window of 2025.
2. May 2, 2025: Rockstar moved the game to May 26, 2026.
3. November 6, 2025: Rockstar moved it again, to November 19, 2026, saying the extra months would let it finish the game with the polish players expect.

Since then, every official signal has pointed at November 19: pre-orders opened on June 25, 2026, the launch trailer arrived on October 15, and preloads are scheduled for November 12. The full history is in GTA 6 delays and the original GTA 6 release date.

Is GTA 6 out yet?

No. As of November 3, 2026, GTA 6 is not out. Anything offering a GTA 6 download, APK, beta or “early access” before November 19 is a scam, and so is any site asking for a Rockstar login to unlock it early.

What time does GTA 6 come out?

Rockstar has not given an unlock time. Digital console games usually unlock at midnight local time on the release date, so most players should be able to start just after midnight on November 19. We explain the preload and the expected unlock in GTA 6 release time and preload.

When does GTA 6 come out on PC?

Not on November 19. Rockstar has announced no PC version. In October 2026, GamesBeat reported, citing four people familiar with Rockstar’s plans, that the PC version is planned for the first quarter of 2027. Rockstar did not comment. GTA 6 release week schedule

These are the dates to watch in the next 16 days:

• November 9: Take-Two reports its quarterly results after the US market closes, with a call at 4:30 p.m. Eastern. It is the last scheduled update before launch.
• November 12: preloads open for digital pre-orders on PS5 and Xbox.
• November 18: reviews are reported to go live, one day before launch. Rockstar has not confirmed this. See GTA 6 reviews.
• November 19: launch day.
