GTA 6 characters: Jason, Lucia and the cast

Rockstar has introduced eight profiles on its GTA VI site, under “Only in Leonida”. One of them is a rap duo, so the list covers nine people. The descriptions below paraphrase those profiles; nothing comes from leaked footage.

Who are the GTA 6 main characters?

Rockstar’s Trailer 2 post says the story centres on Jason and Lucia as partners. When “an easy score goes wrong”, they are pulled into a criminal conspiracy that stretches across Leonida. The rest of the official plot is in GTA 6 story.

Jason Duval

• Background: raised around grifters and crooks, he joined the Army to get away from a troubled youth.
• Now: he ended up in the Keys working for local drug runners, which is what he knows best.
• Home: he lives rent-free at one of Brian Heder’s properties in exchange for help with local shakedowns.
• Lucia: Rockstar says meeting her could be the best or the worst thing that ever happened to him.

Lucia Caminos

• Background: her father taught her to fight as soon as she could walk.
• Prison: fighting for her family landed her in Leonida Penitentiary, and luck got her out.
• Goal: the good life her mother has dreamed of since their days in Liberty City.
• Plan: fresh out of prison, she means to make only smart moves, and a life with Jason could be her way out.

Both leads are on the official cover art Rockstar released on June 18, 2026, and on the cover of LOVE magazine’s GTA VI issue in October 2026.

Other GTA 6 characters Rockstar profiles

• Cal Hampton: Jason’s friend, who also works with Brian. A paranoid homebody, he is happiest at home with a few beers, listening in on Coast Guard radio.
• Boobie Ike: a Vice City local legend who turned his street past into a legitimate empire of real estate, a strip club called the Jack of Hearts and a recording studio. His biggest bet is Only Raw Records, his partnership with Dre’Quan.
• Dre’Quan Priest: more hustler than gangster, he always wanted to break into music. Now an aspiring music mogul, he has signed the Real Dimez to Only Raw Records and books acts at Boobie’s club.
• Real Dimez: the rap duo of Bae-Luxe and Roxy, friends since high school, who built their name on rap tracks and relentless social media. An early hit with local rapper DWNPLY made them; five years later they are chasing a second one.
• Raul Bautista: a confident, charming and seasoned bank robber who is always recruiting talent for big-risk, big-reward jobs. His recklessness raises the stakes for his crew.
• Brian Heder: an old-school drug runner from the Keys’ smuggling heyday. He still moves product through his boat yard with his third wife, Lori, and lets other people do his dirty work.

Two circles stand out: Boobie Ike’s music business in Vice City, and Brian Heder’s drug-running world in the Keys, which both Jason and Cal are tied to. Where each place is, and what it resembles in Florida, is on GTA 6 map and location and Vice City in GTA 6.

More GTA 6 names in Rockstar’s copy

• Lori: Brian’s wife.
• Wyman: an eccentric collector and fixer who appears in the Ultimate Edition content. See GTA 6 editions.
• DWNPLY: the local rapper behind the Real Dimez’s first hit.
• PTT Youngin$: a gang based in Southside Vice City.

Who are the GTA 6 voice actors?

• Official cast list: none. As of November 3, 2026, neither Rockstar’s GTA VI site nor its Newswire has published credits, and no actor is officially named for Jason or Lucia.
• Stephen Root: the King of the Hill and Office Space actor confirmed he is in the game in an AP interview at the BAFTA TV Tea Party, published September 14, 2026. He did not name his character. Outlets identify his voice as Brian Heder, and Variety described the role as a drug trafficker in the Leonida Keys; Rockstar has not confirmed it.
• Jason and Lucia: names that circulate online for both leads are fan speculation, so we do not list them.
• Music: Rockstar names the French duo Justice as composers of the original score. The launch trailer debuted their single “Flower in a Hurricane”, featuring Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard.

We will add the voice cast once Rockstar credits it or the game’s credits are public after launch on November 19, 2026.

Who writes the GTA 6 characters?

LOVE magazine’s October 2026 cover issue interviewed narrative lead Rupert Humphries and writers Elizabeth Gauvey-Kern and Alexa D’Agostino, alongside Rob Nelson of Rockstar North, according to Kotaku. Bloomberg reported in October 2026 that the outline of Jason and Lucia’s story was in place by the end of 2019.
