GTA 6 interiors: what Aaron Garbut said

Coverage of the feature quotes Rockstar North’s Aaron Garbut saying the game has an “order of magnitude more interiors” than earlier entries in the series.

Garbut has given scale figures before. In late August he told the New York Times the game has more than 600,000 hand-made animations, against about 55,000 in GTA V and about 300,000 in Red Dead Redemption 2.

The GTA 6 “ready” quote is not in the coverage

A claim circulating online says a Rockstar developer told Edge the game is “ready”. We could not find that line in the feature or its coverage, so treat it as unsourced.

The release date does not rest on that quote anyway. Rockstar and Take-Two have confirmed November 19, 2026, for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and Take-Two’s next update is its November 9 earnings report.
