How much is GTA 6?
GTA 6 costs $79.99 for the Standard Edition and $99.99 for the Ultimate Edition in the US, on both PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Take-Two announced the prices on June 24, 2026. The $399.99 Vice City Collection box is merchandise and does not include the game.

GTA 6 release date and price
The game costs the same on launch day, November 19, 2026, as it does on pre-order. Pre-ordering adds the Vintage Vice City Pack, and digital purchases before November 20 add a month of GTA+. See GTA 6 pre-order and the GTA 6 release date.
Is GTA 6 more expensive than other games?
The Standard Edition is $10 above the $69.99 that most major console games have cost in recent years. Take-Two’s CEO, Strauss Zelnick, said in April 2026 that the company aims to charge well below the value players get, and that the price would feel “very reasonable”. That is the company’s view; reviews will decide whether players agree.
How much is GTA 6 outside the US?
Local prices vary by country. In the UK, the PlayStation Store lists the Standard Edition at £69.99 and the Ultimate Edition at £89.99. Elsewhere, check the PlayStation Store or Xbox Store in your region for the exact figure, including tax.
Hidden costs to plan for
- Storage: about 210 GB is reported; a larger SSD may be needed. See GTA 6 file size.
- GTA+: the free month renews at the regular monthly price unless cancelled.
- Online: a PlayStation Plus or Xbox Game Pass subscription is usually needed for online play, but GTA 6 has no online mode at launch (GTA 6 Online).

Take-Two has not explained the price. In April 2026 its CEO said it would feel 'very reasonable' compared with the value players get.
Is the GTA 6 collector's box worth it?
Only as merchandise. The $399.99 Goodtime State box holds collectibles such as a figure, sunglasses, a hat and a bag, and does not include the game.
