What time does GTA 6 unlock around the world?
If GTA 6 unlocks at midnight local time, as most digital console games do, these are the start times:
| Where | Expected unlock |
|---|---|
| Los Angeles | 12:00 a.m. Thursday, November 19 |
| New York | 12:00 a.m. Thursday, November 19 |
| London | 12:00 a.m. Thursday, November 19 |
| Berlin | 12:00 a.m. Thursday, November 19 |
| Sydney | 12:00 a.m. Thursday, November 19 |
Rockstar has not confirmed this. If it chooses a single worldwide unlock instead, the US would start on the evening of November 18. We explain both cases in GTA 6 release time and preload.
Before the GTA 6 countdown ends
- Clear space: about 210 GB is reported. See GTA 6 file size.
- Pre-order to preload: only digital pre-orders and boxed codes can download early. See GTA 6 pre-order.
- Update your console: PS5 store data reportedly lists system software 14.22 as the minimum. See GTA 6 on PS5.
- Ignore “early” downloads: anything offering GTA 6 before the countdown ends is fake; the game only downloads from the PlayStation Store and Xbox Store.
