GTA 6 pre-orders open: $79.99 Standard, $99.99 Ultimate, and a code in the box

GTA 6 went on pre-order on June 25, 2026. Rockstar had named the date a week earlier, and Take-Two set the prices the day before.

• Standard Edition: $79.99.
• Ultimate Edition: $99.99.
• Pre-order bonus: the Vintage Vice City Pack, with every pre-order.
• PlayStation Store extra: digital pre-orders get a free month of GTA+.
• Where: digital storefronts and select retailers.

There was no new trailer on June 25, despite speculation that one would arrive with pre-orders.

GTA 6 physical edition: a code in the box

Take-Two’s June 24 release set the editions and prices and explained how boxed copies work.

• What is inside: only a download code. There is no disc.
• When: boxed copies are available from November 12, 2026, to support preload.
• Ultimate Edition: not sold boxed.
• Preload: opens November 12, 2026, a week before the November 19 launch.

The same day, the PlayStation Blog said the game “will play best on PS5” and announced the GTA+ month. Because every copy is a download, size matters: it is reported at about 210 GB on PS5, which Rockstar has not confirmed. See our file size report.

GTA 6 cover art and the pre-order date

Rockstar announced the June 25 pre-order date on June 18 and released the official cover art as downloadable artwork. The art is a traditional collage featuring Jason, Lucia and other Vice City imagery.

No prices or editions were given that day. GameSpot noted that Take-Two shares rose on the news.
