GTA 6 DualSense controllers: Sony reveals black and white limited editions

Sony used its State of Play on September 3, 2026, to show two limited-edition GTA 6 DualSense controllers. Both arrive on launch day.

GTA 6 DualSense controller price and release date

• Models: black (“nightlife”) and white (“daybreak”).
• Price: $84.99, €84.99 or £74.99 each.
• Pre-orders: opened September 10, 2026, through PlayStation Direct and retailers.
• Ships: November 19, 2026, the same day as the game.
• Announced: at Sony’s State of Play on September 3, 2026.

Pre-orders opened a week after the reveal. November 19 is busy for GTA 6 products: the game, the controllers, Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album and the Goodtime State collector’s box all arrive that day. See our report on The Album.

GTA 6 controller vs the game: what each costs

The controllers are a limited-edition accessory. The game itself is priced separately:

• Standard Edition: $79.99.
• Ultimate Edition: $99.99.
• Boxed copies: contain a download code, with no disc, and go on sale from November 12 to support preload.

At $84.99, one controller costs more than the $79.99 Standard Edition of the game.

GTA 6 on PS5: Sony’s other launch tie-ins

• “Plays best on PS5”: the PlayStation Blog said so on June 24, 2026.
• GTA+ month: PlayStation Store digital pre-orders get a free month of GTA+.
• Firmware: a store-data account reports GTA 6 now needs PS5 system software 14.22, which Rockstar has not confirmed. See GTA 6 PS5 firmware 14.22.

Everything about the PS5 version is on GTA 6 on PS5, with game prices and pre-order options on GTA 6 pre-order and the console lineup on GTA 6 platforms.
