GTA 6 launch trailer is out, five weeks before release

Rockstar Games published the GTA 6 launch trailer on its Newswire and YouTube channel on October 15, 2026, five weeks before the game comes out.

What is in the GTA 6 launch trailer

• Length: about 90 seconds.
• Characters: Jason and Lucia, the two leads, in Vice City.
• Music: “Flower in a Hurricane” by Justice featuring Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. Justice also wrote the game’s score.
• Date: the trailer ends on November 19, 2026, for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

The trailer shows no new systems that the August “Extended Look” had not already covered. Its job is to confirm the date and the music.

Why the GTA 6 launch trailer matters

A launch trailer is the clearest sign a release date is final. Rockstar released it five weeks before launch and four weeks before preloads open on November 12, which leaves little room for the kind of delay rumours that followed the game all year. Our GTA 6 delays page tracks every move the date has made.

Every GTA 6 trailer so far

2. Trailer 2: May 6, 2025.
3. An Extended Look: August 27, 2026, about 26 minutes of gameplay, shown first on Netflix.
4. Launch trailer: October 15, 2026.
